Barcarolle in G minor (2007)

Ensemble arrangement of the piano piece includes oboe/English horn, bassoon, violin, double bass, 1 percussionist (glockenspiel, field drum, tam-tam, tom-tom, and spring coil), and piano.

Premiered publicly at the fEARnoMUSIC Young Composers Project in May 2008.

concert band consisting of flutes parts I and II, oboes, clarinets; trumpets parts I and II, 2 trombones, tuba; 4 kettledrums (2 players), glockenspiel, xylophone, vibraphone, cymbals, and tam-tam.

Arranged the three main themes from the piano piece for Portland’s Metropolitan Youth Symphony ensemble Sousa Band.

Premiered publicly by the Sousa Band at the Metropolitan Youth Symphony’s “Sounds of Spring” concert in June 2008.
