Ian Guthrie winning big on the piano side, too

On Sunday, the Great Composers Competition (“A series of international competitions for classical instrumentalists and singers”) awarded Guthrie 3rd prize in both the Music of the 19th Century (Beethoven, Piano Sonata no. 32 in C minor, 1st movement) and Music of the 20th Century (Corigliano, Fantasia on an Ostinato).
