New Year, new works, new recordings!

Blog

Happy New Year to those who have celebrated, those who are about to celebrate, and those who are always celebrating! Despite some of the scary things happening around, I hope my new pieces and good news will excite you!

First, new commissions: I have been commissioned the 2026 Kentucky Music Teachers Association featured composer, which will result in a new work to be performed in October of this year.

Other commissions include a marimba concerto for the Kansas City Civic Orchestra (MO), a new choral work for Battle Ground High School (WA), and a new educational work for Summit Christian Academy (MO).

Additionally, new recordings have been posted for the recently-premiered Ocean Breeze for choir, Above Aglow Grandeurs for chamber ensemble, and Piano Sonata no. 2. These are all worth a listen!

Finally, I left higher education to be a conductor, so I am now conducting, and still creating and performing around the nation, and still new things are always happening! Keep following, keep supporting, keep enjoying! The musicIAN is doing (almost) all of it!
