Ian Guthrie’s new “Five Scenes” for percussion (played by Florian Conzetti) and violoncello (played by Diane Chaplin) will be performed at Marylhurst’s Wiegand Hall on Nov. 7th at 4pm. Admission is free.
On Friday, Nov. 22nd, the Marylhurst University Chorale will premiere Guthrie’s new choral work Ocean Breeze with Guthrie himself accompanying at the piano. The performance will be at 7:30pm at Marylhurst University’s St. Anne’s Chapel.
Ian Guthrie won first place in the Music Teachers National Association Young Artist Piano Performance Competition for the state of Oregon in November 2013.
